FAQ

Is DogeGoo a scam?

No — but "no" from the company being asked is worth very little on its own, so here is what to test instead. Nothing is charged for international shipping until you pick a line and pay. Every item is photographed at our China warehouse before it ships, so you inspect the real thing rather than a listing photo. Our return window and its exact fees are published, and refunds land in your DogeGoo wallet balance where every transaction is listed with a date and an amount. And we link independent reviews on Trustpilot without quoting from them. A first small order is a cheaper test than any paragraph we could write.

Is DogeGoo safe to use?

The parts we control are built to be checkable: you approve QC photos before an item ships internationally, you choose the shipping line and pay for it only when you are ready, and refunds are traceable in your own wallet transaction list. The parts we do not control we name openly — the seller's authenticity and stock, your country's customs, and the carrier once the parcel leaves China. We do not offer an unconditional refund guarantee, because we could not honour one against an independent seller.

Are the items on Taobao, Weidian and 1688 genuine?

Some are, some are not — bootlegs and recasts exist on every marketplace, and no buying agent can promise otherwise. What lowers the risk: buy from established shops with a long sales record and many real buyer photos, compare against official product images, and be suspicious of a price far below everything else. Then use the QC photos: they are taken at our warehouse before the parcel leaves China, so if something looks wrong you can raise it while a return is still cheap and easy.

What if my item arrives broken or is not what I ordered?

Wrong, damaged and counterfeit items are the seller's responsibility and are refunded in full. Keep the unboxing video and photograph the problem before you handle the item further — for a delivered parcel that evidence is usually the only record that exists. Open the case from My Account → Orders on the item, or from My Account → Parcels if it has already shipped, and attach the photos.

Where is DogeGoo's warehouse?

In China. That is where sellers send your items, where they are checked in, photographed for QC and consolidated into one parcel before the international leg. We do not operate warehouses in other countries, so anything you buy through us travels from China to you.

Is DogeGoo affiliated with Taobao, Weidian or 1688?

No. We are an independent buying agent. We place orders with sellers on those platforms as your agent, we do not set their prices, we do not control their stock, and none of them endorse or supervise us. That independence cuts both ways, which is why this page is specific about what we can and cannot stand behind.

Who do I talk to if something goes wrong?

Use "Contact us" on the order (My Account → Orders) for an item that has not shipped yet, "Contact us" on the parcel (My Account → Parcels) once it has, or email [email protected] about anything at all, including account problems. Our standard is a reply from a person within 12 hours. That is a reply time, not a promise that everything is resolved within 12 hours — anything that depends on a seller takes as long as the seller takes.

DogeGoo is a proxy shopping service — a buying agent. You find something on Taobao, Weidian or 1688, we buy it from that seller on your behalf, photograph it at our warehouse in China so you can look at the real item, and ship it on to you when you decide. We are not the seller, and we are not affiliated with Taobao, Weidian or 1688. The useful answer to "is this legit" is not a slogan from us, though: it is a short list of things you can check before you spend anything, plus a clear statement of what we refuse to promise. That is what this page is.

Five things you can check before you spend anything

1. Nothing is charged for international shipping until you choose a line and pay for it. Your items sit in our warehouse until you tick them, press Submit parcel, and see the real prices for your country. If the number is higher than you want to pay, you do not pay it. 2. You see the actual item before it leaves China. Every order is photographed at our warehouse. You are looking at your own parcel, not at the seller's listing photo, and you can raise a problem at that point rather than after it has crossed a border. 3. Our return policy is published with exact figures, not adjectives. Five days from the moment an item is shelved on your Warehouse page. A change-of-mind return costs ¥5 per SKU plus ¥10 handling plus the seller's China-domestic return shipping. Those numbers are on our Refund & Returns page in yuan, because converting them into a tidy dollar figure would mean inventing one. 4. Your money is traceable inside your own account. Approved refunds are credited to your DogeGoo wallet balance, and My Account → Wallet lists every transaction with its date and amount. You can spend that balance at checkout with "Pay with myCRED" or send it back to the account you originally paid from with Withdraw. 5. You can read about us somewhere we do not control. Customers review us on Trustpilot at trustpilot.com/review/dogegoo.com. We link it without quoting a single line from it — go and read it yourself, including the bad ones.

What we deliberately do not claim

We do not offer a "satisfaction guarantee" or unconditional returns. We are the buyer standing between you and an independent seller, not the manufacturer, and a promise we cannot keep is worth less than an honest limit. We do not claim that everything sold on Taobao, Weidian or 1688 is authentic. Bootlegs and recasts exist on every marketplace. What we do is photograph the real item before it ships so you can inspect it, and prefer established sellers with a long record — but we cannot certify a third-party listing, and we will not pretend otherwise. We do not publish an average delivery time. Four separate clocks decide it and two of them are not ours, so any single number would be a guess dressed up as a fact. If you have seen a longer return window advertised in our name somewhere, it does not apply. It came from an unedited storefront template we inherited and it was never our policy. The window that applies is the five days described above, and our Refund & Returns page is the authoritative version. Our Terms of Service page is written the same way: where something is genuinely unsettled — including which legal entity contracts with you — it says so plainly instead of printing something we have not verified.

How the money actually moves

Payment happens in two steps, and that structure is itself a protection. Step one, when you order: the item price, the seller's China-domestic shipping, and our service fee. This is the money that goes to the seller to buy your thing. Step two, later: international shipping. You only reach this step once your items are physically in our warehouse and you have decided what goes in the box. International cost is charged on chargeable weight — the greater of actual and volumetric weight — times the rate of the line you pick for your destination. There is no flat rate, which is exactly why the shipping calculator asks for a country and a weight instead of showing you a table. Import duty and VAT are a third thing entirely: they are set by your own country, normally paid by you on arrival, and we neither collect nor predict them.

What happens when something goes wrong

If the item is wrong, damaged or counterfeit, the seller covers it and you are refunded in full. Evidence is what decides these cases, so film your unboxing and photograph the problem before handling the item further. Our warehouse QC photos sit on the other side of that record. If you simply changed your mind, you can still return it inside the five-day window, but the costs are yours: ¥5 per SKU, ¥10 handling, and the seller's China-domestic return shipping, which the seller sets. For a cheap item those fees can come to more than the item is worth — we would rather tell you that than quietly take a return fee. Some things cannot be returned at all, even inside the five days: custom and made-to-order items, clearance items, and anything the seller marks as no-return. That restriction comes from the original seller, not from us. If your order has not been bought yet, you may be able to undo it yourself. An unpaid order shows a "Cancel order" button on My Account → Orders. A paid order that we have not purchased yet may show "Request refund for this item" on the individual item row — whether that button appears is decided per item by our order system, so we cannot promise it will be there. And if none of the above fits, a person reads it. Our standard is a reply from a human within 12 hours.
